Actually, the election was 13 respondents - 8 for George and 5 for Scott
Burow. Scott has made it plain that while he enjoyed serving on the board
and would do so again gladly, he feels strongly that if the elected
representative is willing and able to serve he'd prefer to see that happen.

I undertook an informal "poll" of the SCs and ASCs in the NE region to
determine how they would wish to be represented on this matter. I heard
back from 11 of the 23 members of that group, with 10 saying they would
prefer that George be allowed to withdraw his declaration of intent to
resign.
[Though not even a 50% response, I do feel this would be a good indicator.
Am I correct in remembering that only 9 people voted in the election? If so
it would indicate that more people responded to your unofficial poll than
voted in the election.
