Thanks for your comments Angie. I'm glad procedure is clear to
you. I'm sorry it wasn't to Jeff, other people and me. Wasting
time? Maybe but if so we wasted a lot of time clarifying the
Permission to Speak SOP.

Angie no one is forcing you, or anyone else, to participate in
any discussion.

| Well, then, color me confused, because I don't see any reason
to change
| the current wording.
|
| "When a vote is
| called, members will have 48 hours to respond and have their
vote
| recorded, however results of votes will be announced once a
| quorum has been reached and enough votes have been cast to
insure
| the passage or failure of the motion."
|
| What part is unclear? That there will be 48 hours to respond?
Seems
| pretty plain. A quorum has been reached? Shouldn't be a
problem there,
| the bylaws set a quorum at 9 votes. Enough votes have been
cast to
| insure passage or failure? That's also pretty clear, all you
have to do
| is figure the math. Write a cheat-sheet if necessary, or just
wait 48
| hours and do the math once all the votes are in, but why are we
spending
| this much time discussing this? If we don't have anything else
to do,
| for heaven's sake just adjourn the December meeting. I'm sure
at this
| time of year we all have other things to be spending our time
on.
