I assume you mean "Ancestry Management", Vicki, since you say "they". I hope you can persuade them that people (especially boards admins) value that board.

I was glad the board was started because it saved individual board managers from having to deal with a lot of messages. I think it is too soon to assume that the reason for the board has gone away. We are all waiting for the other shoe to drop, unfortunately.

There seem to be so many people who found that board useful that it seems to be a pity to close it. I am quite sure that someone would volunteer to manage it to take the onus of keeping it neat and clean off of staff personnel. It wouldn't seem to need a staff member any more than some other boards need that. NEWBIE-LISTOWNER, for instance has done very very well as a mailing list over the years with a trusted volunteer in charge.

The topic doesn't seem to fit in with BOARDS-USERS, either.
