It is likely that your father enlisted first in a Canadian
regiment, then later transferred to Brabant's Horse
while in SA.
(Brabant's was raised locally in South Africa.) His
being with/at 10th Canadian Field Hospital is further
indication. Your best bet might be to start your
enquiries via Archives Canada in Ottawa.
