Dear Carol,

Natal is just brimming with history, not only of the Zulu wars and Blood
River, but of the Boer War too. There is whole Battlefields Route that one
can take, and you can choose the areas you are interested in.

Talana Museum at Dundee is well worth a visit with one of the most
interesting museums I have ever visited. They have a number of tour guides
who specialise in specific areas, Zulu history, British battles or South
African history and Boer War. The curator, Pam, is very friendly and
helpful, and will gladly assist with any questions you may have. There are
plenty of guest houses and B&B's available for accomodation. Email address

These are just a few of the wonderful places to visit, and I am sure that
they will help you put together a delightful tour of Natal.

Good Luck and enjoy your planning.
