I am trying to trace a Family member who was attached to the Essex regiment
that came to South Africa in 1872. From what I can gather, he was a
Luitenant Colonel and assigned to Kimberley in 1887-1892 under Staff
services. His surname was Wood.

Where can I start to look for this information.
