Dear Listers,
Kevin Aspler of the Boer War List sent me a list of solders in the 29th
Imperial Yeomanry who served in South Africa. I found a name on the list
Albert William McK. Ferguson who might have served later with my
grandfather, J.L. Evans. I asked Kevin to have a look at where Ferguson came
from and received the following reply:
I looked in WO 128 yesterday for Ferguson, however there are no
papers as such, just a slip from the Medal Office at Droitwich dated
11/11/1952 requesting the papers be forwarded to them. Plainly they were not
sent back,
What would the Medal Office be looking for? Is there any other way of
looking up Pte. Ferguson?
