I have a quote of somebody saying about the Queen¹s Chocolate: What matter
about the bloody honour, so long as you can get five quid for it?

I understand that every man serving in the Boer War received a box of
chocolates from Queen Victoria at Christmas 1900. What I would like is some
detail about the chocolates were they milk or plain; filled (if so, with
what); what was the weight of the box; was it a cardboard box or a metal
tin; and what decoration was there on the box? Did the men receive them in
South Africa? Also, who might the soldier be thinking would buy his box for
five pounds?
