Re deaths in the Boer War:

The South African "National Monuments Council"
has a database of military deaths in the Anglo Boer
War - British, Boer (and African?). It is at:

http://www.nationalmonuments.co.za/search.htm

It gives Surname, Initials, Rank & Regiment.
The Council (not Commission) has restricted the data,
ie no date of death or where buried. They will
supply additional information/photo (?) for a fee of $NZ 20.
