Going through the Casualty Roll for the Boer War, I came across the
following entry:
DAY, W 2389 A/Cpl Wnd, Belmont 23/11/1899 1 SGds
I was wondering what A/Cpl stood for? I've bnarrowed it down to two
possibilities, either Acting Corporal or Adjutant Corporal.
Is it either of these or am I totally off the mark and it means something
different? If anyone has any suggestions I would be glad to have some light
shed on this.
Regards,
David McNay
