My Grandfathers Army Form B 200 (Military History)


States = 'War gratuity paid under Special Army Order 5 of 1901'.

Does anyone know what this might be and for what, and did everyone
receive it?

He served in the 'Regular Army' until 1902, as mounted infantry, but
only received the
Queens medal and bars, as he left South Africa in 1901.
