Hi Ken,

Hi Ken

Thank you for the information on the 'make up' of the Rundles column,
and the photographs of the Manchester's Mounted

Infantry, at 'Lunch'

May I ask if you know any more about the Mounted Infantry, as I
understand it this was a group (size?) of men from many regiments.

The 17th Brigade you mentioned seems to have had men from the regiments
of the Worcester, Kent, Stafford's, Manchester's and the RFA.

Do you know were they in the 17th for the whole of the war? Or did they
make up groups of mounted men , as and when they were needed?

As I said before the Manchester's general 'battle bars' for the medals,
are not the same as my grandfathers, so I presume they are the same as
those in the 17th? Brigade.

Also please, were there other composite mounted brigades, and are their
engagements listed anywhere?

Can I read anything about these brigades, who was the commanding officer
ect.....

Sorry if this is too much to ask, but thank you for your efforts.

Regards

June
