Hi Barbara,

This may or may not be of any help but I came across the following reference :-

"The Highland Cyclist Battalion", Raised in 1908 with its HQ in Kirkaldy, Scotland. It has a Battle Honour "South Africa 1900-1902" which is inherited from an earlier volunteer unit perpetuated by this Battalion".

There is nothing more but I wondered if the "earlier volunteer unit...."it might lead to the Scottish Cyclists.
