Hello Sue,
given their birthplace in England if they joined a local regiment it would
probably be the Durham Light Infantry or Northumberland Fusiliers,
Northumberland Hussars, 5th Imperial Yeomanry. I have checked Kevin Asplin's
roll for cavalry and neither brother is on it, so you can cancel out Hussars
and Yeomenry. DLI or NF could be a starter for you.
