Like Hugh I am new to the list and have a similar request. I know from an error made by the 1901 census enumerator that Edwin Tyler was a soldier in the Boer War. His wife Ada (nee Lindley) was living in Byker, Newcastle, England at the time. I think he returned from the war as he is named as the father of my great aunt in 1905. Unfortunately I don't have a date of birth or place but suspect it was Newcastle upon Tyne.
