Thanks for that. But was he a war pensioner or just an old age pensioner?
The first Boer war was a short affair, the second almost 4 years.I would
think that only permanent army men would get army pensions. Many of those in
the Boer war were not part of the permanent army.....I think (I am trying to
be cautious, something I find very trying!) I must search this. it intrigues
me. Humphrey, you're the guru...
