Hi to all ,

There is a question that I would like to find an answer for .

If a British soldier was killed in action , killed or died from any other
causes, while on War duty in either of the BOER War's !
Was the widow ,able to claim a war pension or compensation from the British
Government for her to live on ?
or would the widows have been left to fend for them selves with no monetary
help ?

Please can any one help me on this question .
