Hi List,

I am quite new to this list and am researching a Great Uncle who
volunteered for two tours of duty in South Africa. After the war he and
his family migrated from Australia to South Africa. Can anyone refer me
to a list of Australian servicemen who served in South Africa during the
Boer War. Unfortunately Colonel Murray decided to omit this person from
his official list of Australians who served in the Boer War and as a
result, he does not exist in any of the official documentation.

The person I am looking for is John Alexander McBean from NSW. There is
another John Alexander McBean from South Australia who also volunteered
for two tours but this person is definitely not my J.A. McBean.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
