I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Hugh Crawford. Hugh
served with the BlackWatch. He went to the Boer War in 1899 and never
returned. Apparently his wife received a letter from the forces stating that
he was MIA, likely killed, but we have no confirmation at all. I cannot find
Hugh on any rolls and wonder that he in fact died of disease. I am at a loss
as to where I go from here.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated
