Here is the connection my dad was making between John Boggs and James L.
Boggs...

The 1781 roster of Captain Enonch Osborne lists a James Boggs and a John
Flannary. John Flannary wife is Phoebe Boggs, the daughter of John Boggs
and sister of James L. Boggs. But, my dad did not cite his sources... So
I don't know how he connected John Flannary to Phoebe Boggs or how he
connected Phoebe Boggs to James L. Boggs. I noticed a few folks on
Ancestry.com have James L. Boggs and Phoebe Boggs as the children of John
Boggs... But as a good friend of mine use to say, two times crap is still
crap (well the actual saying was a little different...). Hopefully I can
confirm what he found or I have another interest bit of Boggs folk lore.

I spent some time this afternoon checking the LDS Family History Index (not
to be confused with the Family History Records) and found a few of the
sources my dad does cite. I plan on visiting the local LDS Family History
Library to check the information he cited.
