Henry Caldwell MIZNER, b. 1795, was the second son of Lawrence and Sarah
(Cook) MISENER of Mendham, Morris Co., NJ

Lawrence died shortly after the birth of Henry C. (same year)
The custom at the time in the Dutch community was to name the first two sons
after their grandfathers. In this case neither Henry C. nor his brother,
Lansing B. (b. 1794), were named after their maternal grandfather, Daniel
COOK. The MISENER/MIZNER grandfather is not known.

The question arises, for whom were these two sons named.
Does anyone have access to records of Mendham, Morris Co., NJ which might
reveal a Henry CALDWELL or a Lansing BOND?
