Hi Everyone
I do not know if this info has been passed on before if not this is a
good program to do with the 1901 census.

Hello Marion and Everyone,

HALLELUJAH!!! The minute this message came in I got on and
got a
*lot* done. Since it seems that it is back again after the weekend, it
may be
(more or less) here to stay, so we can talk more about how to spread out
our
searches, as well as tips and tricks.

First, I printed out a lot of pages before I learned that you
could find a page
number for anyone at the end of the URL that shows up at the bottom of
the
browser page, when you put your cursor on the image to the left of the
name.
It does help identify people in the family.

Second, Ash Emery of the Shoosmith one name group, told me of this

spreadsheet tool which I have downloaded but not used yet. Since it
pulls out the
page number and allows you to sort on that number, you can locate
families (and
even see if your family actually continues from the bottom of one page
to the
next, *before* you order the second sheet. Ash wrote:

Hi Barbara,

I have played a bit with Shoosmiths using this guy's specially designed
spreadsheet program. Do you know about it?

It seems to be very helpful in identifying families. Of course, it won't
help us to find the Shoosmiths entered as Woosmiths or Hoesmiths.

Cheers, Ash

Third, Ash has ordered quite a bit online with no problems, and I
have heard of
others who have, also, so it *may* be safe.......

Regards, Barbara
