Kindred greetings, Steve...
Research from my German family contacts discloses several Baumhauer
Wappen (coats of arms).
Some are variations of the 1513 Wappen decreed by Maximillian.

I have 5 or 6 scanned from Siebmacher's Wappenbuch and the Aachener
Wappenbuch.

Two entirely different designs - also related to tree farming - are from
Lübeck.

Yet another entirely different one belongs to a Leonhard Baumhauer, and
indicates by the design that he was a wood carver.

Yet another entirely different one suggests engineering skills.

Keep in mind that these were issued/registered at a time when the great
Cathedrals were being built in the Christian cultural center of Europe.
Engineering experts, tree growers who knew how to grow trees to get the
most and best wood without knots, and carvers to make interior
structures, furniture and decorative/intricate carvings were essential.
