This might be a little off-track, but my Renaissance Faire Guild, The Border
League, is looking for personae. We have the Earl of Glencairn and Kinmont
Willie Armstrong as historical folks and are looking for suggestions (yes,
we've been researching through Steel Bonnets and anything else we can get our
hands on.)
Does there come to mind a Baroness on either side of the border in either
West March or Middle March, preferbly the Scottish side, but not necessarily?
Also read with interest the espionage factor going on in the area on the
above book, but it was only enough to whet my taste. Any more information on
such activities in the border regions, especially while Mary was
incarcerated?
Thanks for any help or reference material to which you could steer me.
