John ANDERSON and Helen HOY.
Does any one have any information about of this couple? I have been
unable to find any record of their marriage.
Their children John b. Stitchel, 1806, William b. Sweethope, BEW 1807,
Rachel b. Sweethope 1809 and Elizabeth b (Betsy) b. 1810 in Eccles.
In the film of births/christenings the entry for William and Rachel is
followed by those for 3 more children born to William Andrew Orr Farm
Servant of Hume Orchard and Helen Hoy. Following these entries is a note
"The above five registers were entered this date 15th day of April
1848'. i.e. William and Rachel and the 3 to Wm. ORR. b. 1816, 1819 and
1824. My thought about this is that John ANDERSON died? and Helen HOY
remarried to Wm. ORR. Does any one have any ideas??
I would be interested to contact a descendant of Elizabeth's siblings
and to find birth, parents, marriage, death etc. for John ANDERSON. Any
help much appreciated. I will be happy to share any information I have.
