Subject: [Bos-St] PLEASE Use Correct Census Petition(s)
Date: Wed, 20 Mar 2002 19:50:32 -0500

The following information may be forwarded

To all, especially those who reside in United States and elsewhere:-

Only the Senate is able to receive Non-Resident census petitions --
not the House of Commons -- please note!

Today I received another petition from Alexandria, Virginia on a
HOUSE OF COMMONS petition -- there was only ONE signature, and
I prefer not to give the name of the person.

Go to http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm

You will notice there are three different petitions:
HOUSE OF COMMONS -- for Canadians -- both French and English
SENATE -- for Canadians -- both French and English

NON-RESIDENT is designed for those who live elsewhere than Canada --
my name and address is listed on the cover page, and these are
accepted only in the Senate.

The only time a Non-Resident may use a Canadian petition is when
one lounging in warmer climes during our cold Canadian winter and
have a permanent Canadian address, which must also be listed on
the petition.

I am not allowed to change these errors -- so please understand.

Co-Chair, Canada Census Campaign
