Subject: Roxbury Ma/Immigration & Naturalization

Just wanted to thank Don McFarlane for the post about info on Roxbury and
link to immigration svcs. My grandmother, her sister and her parents
lived for a short while in Roxbury in 1883, so it will be helpful for me
to research the listings. Her father, my ggf hailed from Nova Scotia
arriving in Boston by 1879. On the other side my ggm came from Nfld in
1859 to Boston. The early records as noted weren't always kept, so it's
good to have other avenues to link back to Canada. Happy July 4th! My
paternal grandmother coming from Ireland in 1915 listed her b'day as July
4th; although it may not be accurate as many immigrants picked that day
to "look good" coming into the states.
