I have had several questions about the obituary index I referred to...

I am embarrassed to say I can't find the exact reference. I have access to
the book at the big state genealogy library - the Sutro - in San Francisco,
55 miles from me.

It is called "Index of Obituaries, 1704 - 1800". It is for Boston during
that time period. I'm sorry I don't have the compiler.

Some of it is copies of hand-written notes, others are typed. It is a bound
book.

I hope this helps someone. Thanks to everyone for all your help and
suggestions.
