I'm searching for 1880 census and other records on Pierre KOCH and his wife
Dorothea. Sons Albert & Julius apparently attended the Boston Conservatory
in Suffolk Co around 1880. Albert & Julius used COOK as spelling of surname
and wer VERY GOOD musicians. Son William moved to Townsend, MA about same
time (my line). Pierre/Dorothea had three daughters: Anna married a Weise,
Louisa married a Myers and Elise married a Fisher. The girls stayed in
Massachussetts. Need copy of census index for Massachussets for these
surnames in 1880. Also would like to know the Enumeration District for the
area surrounding the Boston Conservatory in 1880.
Entire family previously found in 1870 NYC census. Pierre/Dorothea, Albert,
Julius reportedly moved to Indiana around mid-1890. Pierre died in 1895 in
Indiana and was buried there; his wife, Dorothea returned to Boston where she
was reported to have died and is buried in a cemetery there (somewhere).
Suspect she lived with one of her three daughters. Likely prospects are
Fisher first, then either of the other two - Myers or Weise. Can anyone out
there help?
