The obit for Charles A. Bottorf reads:
Toledo Blade, Jan 2 1917, pg 8
"Charles A. Bottorf, 45, of 2239 N. Erie Street, died suddenly in Norwalk, Ohio, Monday, of acute indigestion.
Bottorf was employed by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad in Norwalk. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Harry Kriete and Miss Elsie Bottorf, and two sons, Walter and Paul.
The funeral will be held in the home Thursday at 10. Burial will be in Forest cemetery."
I believe that this Charles A. Bottorf is the son of William Bottorf from my previous post. His death certificate, with his daughter Elsie as the informant, states that his father's name was William (born in PA). But it states that Charles' mother's name is Margaret and that she was born in IN. Charles' *wife* was Margaret (born in IN). Could the informant have gotten confused and put *her* mother's name on the death certificate? Does anyone have any information on this Charles A. Bottorf from Toledo, OH?
Thanks,
Shawn McCormick
