I have copied information from the gedcom of James Sills that was
posted at Ancestry.com and have entered it into my Bourne database
file. There is quite a bit of speculation about the proper parent of
this John Bourne. Richard Darden Bourne, in his manuscript, the
Bourne Family of Virginia, showed John as the son of Henry and Ann
Morton Bourne. Newman A. Hall insisted that this was in error and
showed other records for John the son of Henry. If we could establish
the true facts about the parents of this John or the origin of
Elizabeth Bourne listed as daughter we could maybe solve this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Reply to Frank Neher or via the
list.

Revolutionary War Pension Application S39200 refers to a John Bourne.
otherwise unidentified, born 1752, who was still living in Orange in
June of 1820. This is probably the John Bourne that RDB mistakenly
attributed to Henry and who married Mary Brock in 1775. Newman A.
Hall.
