Here are a few C.S.A Vets living in Conecuh County in 1907


Thomas Bolton b. 15 September 1836 in the Edgefield District in the
state of S.C. Entered service on 15 March 1862 at Camden, Alabama in
the 38th Alabama Infantry, Co. H and continued until paroled at the
close of the war.

William Henry Benson b. 1844 in East Tennessee. Entered service in
January 1864 at Montgomery, Alabama in the 61st. Alabama Infantry,
Co. G and continued until discharged just brfore the close of the war
in a Richmond, Virginia hospital on account of sickness.

William Augustus Bonds b. 5 March 1833 in Georgia. Entered service
in March 1862 at Centerville, Alabama in the 29th Alabama Infantry,
Co. I and continued until wounded in the Battle of Tensaw Mountain,
then was discharged

Gilchrist R. Boulware b. 15 August 1842 near Brooklyn in Escambia
County, Alabama. Entered service 1 April 1861 in Sparta, Alabama in
the 4th Alabama Infantry (Volunteer) Co. E and continued until 13
December 1862 elected 1st. Lt. and continued until 11 January 1864 ,
then returned from active service and served in the secret service
department until the close of the war 1865.

A.J. Boyeth Entered service 30 November 1863 at Dalton, Georgia in
the 33rd Alabama Infantry, Co. F and continued until discharged April
1865.

James Lawrence Bowden b. 2 April 1838 in Crawford County, Georgia.
Entered service in February 1862 at Georgiana, Alabama in the 33rd
Alabama Infantry, Co. D and continued until paroled at the close of
the war.

Pinckney Downie Bowles b. 7 July 1835 in the Edgefield District in
the state of S.C. Entered service as 1st. Lt. on 11 January 1862 at
Sparta, Alabama. Elected Captain on 1 April 1861. Re-enlisted as
Captain on 1 May 1862 at Yorktown, Virginia in the 4th Alabama
Infantry, Co. E. Promoted to Major 22 August 1861, Promoted to Lt.
Colonel 30 September 1862. Promoted to Colonel 3 October 1862.
Promoted to Brigadier General 2 April 1865. Other services: All
Papers were burned.

William H. Bradbery Served in the 20th Battalion, Co. K.

Dr. Ely Bradley b. 1833 at Bellville in Conecuh County, Alabama.
Entered service in March 1862 at Montgomery, Alabama in the 2nd.
Alabama Cavalry, Co. H and continued until discharged at Montgomery,
Alabama at the close of the war.

Lazereth Solomon Brantley b. October 1831 in Georgia. Entered
service in September 1862 at Evergreen, Alabama in the 23rd Alabama
Infantry, Co. F and continued until discharged in December 1862 being
crippled in the right hip.

David J. Brown b. 1844 in Old Town in Conecuh County, Alabama.
Entered service 1 March 1862 at Sparta, Alabama in the 38th Alabama
Infantry, Co. E and continued until 1 May 1864 being discharged on
account of sickness.

John Wesley Brown b. 19 September 1839 at Evergreen, Alabama.
Entered Service on 14 May 1862 at Evergreen, Alabama in the 23
Alabama Battalion Sharp Shooters, Co. F and continued until paroled
at the close of the war. Promoted to Sgt. in 1862.

William Brown b. 6 July 1842 at Sepulga, Alabama. Entered service in
August 1862 at Evergreen, Alabama in the 23rd Alabama Battalion Sharp
Shooters, Co. F and continued until paroled at Appomattox Court House
at the close of the war.

Thomas Allen Buffington b. 22 March 1836 near Atlanta, Georgia.
Entered service in 1861 at Dalton, Georgia in the 39th Georgia
Infantry, Co. B and continued until paroled at the close of the war.

William Burgamy b. 27 July 1820 at Sparta, Alabama. Entered service
in August 1863 at Sparta in the 7th Alabama Cavalry, Co. G and
continued until paroled at Columbus, Georgia at the close of the war.

William Kinchen Burt b. 5 February 1838 at Bellville, Alabama.
Entered service in July 1861 at Camden, Alabama in the 23rd Alabama
Infantry, Co. E and continued until discharged in May 1863.
Re-enlisted in June 1863 at Brewton, Alabama in the 2nd Alabama
Cavalry, Co. H and continued until paroled at the close of the war.
