The following is an update of information on George Bowman.

GEORGE BOWMAN was born September 12, 1843 in Pikeville, Bledsoe County, TN,
and died April 19, 1918 in Bryant, OK. He married (1) NAN REDDING / REDDIN
She died May 01, 1890 in Blanche community, Cherokee County, AL. He married
(2) POLLY ANN MCNEW June 26, 1892 in Ten Broeck, AL,. She was born 1844 in
Ft. Payne, AL, and died February 11, 1923 in Bryant, OK.
George Bowman headstone reflects he was born 1-14-1838 and died 4-14-1912.
George was in the 6th Tennessee Mounted Infantry Company D at Chattanooga,
TN. He served under Captain Daniel McWilliams, and he was discharged
Nashville, TN.
The children of George and Nannie were L. Dulah "Dooler" Bowman and John
William Bowman.
A letter was subscribed and sworn by Sarah Jane [McNew] Boman and Hannah
King "that they and each of them have known Polly Ann Bowman from her
infancy"
John was born 10 Mar 1890 and died 20th Jun 1988 and married Julie Mae
Foster.
L. DULAH Dooler BOWMAN was born 1884 in AL, and died 1907 in Bryant,
Indian Territory. She married ASY JUDSON SMOOT April 16, 1901 in Henryetta,
Indian Territory. He was born October 27, 1875 in Lindale, TX, and died July
22, 1935 in Muskogee, OK.
Dulah and Asy had six (6) children.
Asy Judson "AJ" Smoot married his second wife, Hettie Barnett, 21 Jul 1908
in Okmulgee, OK
ASY JUDSON SMOOT Burial: July 24, 1935, Pharoah, OK, on the old Hammer
Homestead.
