Dear cousins,

Another installment on my branch of the Boyds. This is Ann Boyd, daughter of John and Lettice Boyd, granddaulghter of Rpbert and Jennet Boyd of Sadsbury Twp. Chester Co. PA.

Ann married Thomas Sharp. They left Chester Co.. and moved to Augusta Co. VA. unlike other family members who went south to the Carolinas. It is interesting that a generation or so later, some of the Sharps were reunited with other family members in TN. One wonders if they had kept in contact for the intervening years, or whether it was just accidental.

Most of the work on this line was done by Sharp Family researchers, for which I am grateful.

Howard V. Jones

B-1-2-3-2-8: John Clark. The will of Thomas Sharp mentions sister Letitia Clark's son John: was this John

Clark, or John Sharp? It seems unlikely that Letitita named two children John.

Data on this family from Jean Sharp (1999).

Jean Sharp provided this data about an Addison Sharp, who should belong somewhere in this family. She writes: "Addison Sharp is believed by most Sharp researchers to have been a son of Robert and Letitia Sharp. The deed of 20 Sept 1818 (see Robert Sharp page) does not name Addison as a child of Robert and Letitia. However, Addison was is some way, closely related to the Robert & Letitia Sharp family. His death appears in the Alexander Sharp Bible (belonged to Reuben T. Sharp). Since Addison was born in the same generation as Alexander ca 1780's, I

speculate that he may have been a first cousin to the children of Robert and Letitia Sharp. His name appears as witness on several documents for members of the family of Robert and Letitia Sharp.
