If he thought it was one of yours at first glance, it is a good reason to
check it out. Don't know any of those names at this time. But one never
knows, unless you ask. This Boyer family moved from PA, OH, KS, OK, and
back to Kansas. Some of my surnames are Scott, Boyer, Allen, Hawks, King,
McSparrin, Reed, Bell, Campbell, Davis, Young.
My grandmother was Clara Lenore BOYER born 1903 OK, her parents were George
W. BOYER born 1850 PA, and Nellie Irene ALLEN born 1882 KS. George W.
parents were George BOYER born 1818 PA, and Anne SCOTT born 1819 Ireland. I
have not proved who the parents of George born 1818 are, but in the 1860
Winslow Township, Pennsylvania census, there is a John Boyer living next
door to George W. and Anne who may or may not be related. It has also been
said that George Boyer had a brother Henry.
I have just posted an other picture on the rootsweb Boyer message board.
Please have your dad look at this one also. As I believe one of them to be
George W. Boyer, or his father George. As he looks alot like the one I have
of George W. Boyer and his wife.
