In looking at the results for Deron Boyer I am struck that Jacob Boyer's
son, John was b. 1790 in Rockingham Cnty, Va and had a grandson, Anderson
Boyer b. 4 July 1852 Carter Co Mo.

My Joseph Boyer was born 4 May in Rockingham, in 1794, d. 1870 Cedar Co Mo.
and his youngest (10th) known child was Anderson J. Boyer b. 17 Sept Augusta
Co 1838. No death or marriage data. His 8th child was John N. Boyer b.
1834 Augusta Co Va. resided in Clark Co, Ill. Married Lucinda E. Goff.

Although my DNA results don't point to a biological connection between these
groups, the naming pattern may point to an adoptive or other connection.
Naming children for Aunts and Uncles was very common, and Anderson is not a
common first name.

Does anyone have a list of Jacob Boyer's (b. 1763) other children? I am
wondering if Joseph or John could be brothers and if any other siblings
married an Anderson.

For what it's worth I have recently acquired the Abstract of Land Grant
Surveys of 1761-1791 in Augusta and Rockingham Counties. There are 18
references to 6 separate Boyer/Boyers/Bowyer/Bowyers, if anybody is
interested.
