Subject: [BOZEMAN] Sorting out the David's in Philomen Bozeman's line

Wade,

You mentioned the following in your roll call:

"...James Thomas Bozeman and Carrie D. Bozeman (both dead and yes they were
cousins), David Bozeman and 1) Martha Howard*2) Cynthia Attaway, John
Bozeman and somebody (not sure who yet, although I have some names I'm
tossing around), James Richard Bozeman and Rachel Roe(w),...."

I know that Carrie was Jacob Carter Bozeman's daughter, so James Thomas must
be David Bozeman's son. Was James Thomas the son of Martha or Cynthia? Do
you have any birth dates, etc. for David, Martha, and Cynthia? I am trying
to find ways to distinguish the many David's in our line.

I am still looking for David Warren Bozeman (Carrie's Uncle) and have
thought he might be the David who married Cynthia Attaway. He was about the
right age to marry and Jacob (Carrie's father) provided the security.
Cynthia Attaway was listed as a daughter in the Buttes household which was 3
houses away from James Richard, Jr's household on the 1880 census. I have
no direct evidence one way or the other, so I'm not saying my original
theory is right. I'm just trying to find something definitive to hang my
hat on.

To help clarify, Philomen had a son named David. John, and James Richard,
Jr. and David are all sons of James Richard and Rachel Rowe. John and James
Jr. both also had sons named David. There is some evidence that all 4 of
these David's were in Caddo Parish, LA. at one time or another, though
Philomen's son David died in 1863, so we can eliminate him form this
discussion right off the bat.

I believe Steve Frizzell mentioned a year or so ago that he was trying to
sort these David's out also. Maybe he has some insight as well.
