Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Virginia Deed Book M, pg. 298:
This Indenture made and entered into this 10th day of June, in the year
1842, Between Harberson BRADSHAW, of the County of Stafford in the State
of Virginia, of the one part, and Uriah H. BRADSHAW of the Town of Fredericksburg,
and the State aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Harberson
BRADSHAW, for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars,
when in hand paid, by the said Uriah H. BRADSHAW, at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
hath given, granted, etc...being parts of said lots...82 & 83, and bounded
as follows, to wit; Beginning at the intersection of Caroline and Pitt
Street, thence down Pitt Street 264 feet, to Sophia or Water Street, thence
down Sophia or Water Street 82 feet, thence at right angles with Sophia
or Water Street 264 feet to Caroline Street, thence up Caroline Street
82 feet to the beginning. It being the same property that was conveyed
to the said Harberson BRADSHAW by John M. FORBES, Trustee, in a Deed of
Trust from Mary LIPSCOMB by deed dated the 12th Dec. 1840...etc...In Witness
whereof the said Harberson BRADSHAW hath hereunto set his hand and affixed
his Seal, the day and year first herein written.

Clerks Office of the Hustings Court of Fredericksburg, June 10, 1842.
This Indenture was acknowledged in the Office by Harberson BRADSHAW party
thereto, and admitted to record. Teste,
