According to a deed dated 15 Dec 1802, involving the estate of Christian
Michael, registered in Reading PA, Volume 19, p.417, CHRISTINA MICHAEL was the
wife of JOHN BRADY, who was by that date living in "Penalton County, in the
State of Virginia".

census of Berks County, Heidelberg Township. The first child was probably the
Johannes Schaefer listed in John T. Humphrey's Pennsylvania Births: Johannes
Schaefer, baptized 18 Aug 1793, Hain's Church, Lower Heidelberg, Berks County,
Pennsylvania, age seven weeks and two days, sponsored by JOHANNES BRAEDY.

County, Heidelberg Township.

NOTES ON THE BREADY FAMILY OF HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP, BERKS CO PA.

After the death of Samuel Bready, his widow married Valentine Boyer. They are
listed in the 1790 census of Berks Co PA.

John Bready (s/o Samuel) had another sibling, William, who married Juliana Lerch.

Juliana Lerch was baptized 18 Feb 1781, parents Nicolaus Lerch and wife,
sponsor was Juliana Schäfer.

Wilhelm Brady m. Juliana Lerch, Heid, 24 Jan 1797, by Rev. John William Boos.
(Same day, and same minister, as William's sister Margaret's marriage to
William Schäfer.

William and Juliana Brady in 1803 were living in or around the town of Lebanon
in Turtle Creek Township, Warren County, Ohio. William joined an 1812/1813
military expedition against an "Indian village on the Mississinewa River"
(Indiana), and died soon afterward from effects of exposure suffered in that
campaign.

One son of William & Juliana, John Brady, was apprenticed and taught the trade
of saddlery in Ohio. He married Mary Wright in 1825 in Wayne Co IN, moved to
Delaware Co IN in1836. John ran a harness shop in Muncie. In 1865, he became
the first mayor. During his career, he also served as associate judge,
postmaster, city council member, township trustee, and city commissioner. In
the 1850 Delaware County, Indiana, census, John is listed as age 45, and Mary
as age 43, with three children in the home, Samuel F. Brady, Thomas J. Brady,
and Edward W. Brady. In the 1880 Delaware County, Indiana, census, John is
listed as age 76, born in Ohio, and Mary is listed as age 73, born in
Maryland. Both died in 1884, John in January, and Mary in August.

Another son of William & Juliana, William L. Brady, married Susannah Hoover in
1833 in Wayne Co IN (Book B; Page 220). One history of Delaware Co IN mentions
two other children of William & Juliana.
