Sam. I meant to get back to you sooner about Dr. R.Bs. original bk. plus
the continuing research.

I was appalled when I read that Carey stated your dau. would be "committing
fraud" if the book pertaining to the Braswells was published. I wish
everyone that publishes were thorough but, alas we know they are not.

I am a direct desc. of Braswell Overstreet and was severely chastised by
Carey when I first told him that my Braswell's mother was, perhaps, a Jane
Braswell wed to a Henry Overstreet [no source] and that they left SC. and
moved to GA. He informed me that there was no Braswells living in GA. but,
he has since, of course, recanted. There were several B. families living
there and I did mention four [4] peoples names when I wrote to his B. list
and one of those was Mulkey. He jumped on that name like a frog on a fly.
He did have info. pertaining to the Mulkeys, Johnathan and Philip, of SC.
for which I was grateful.

Carey uses legalese very easily so do not be swayed by his words. Please
inform your dau. Joy and other relatives that I would like to order a copy
of their research. Every genealogist
knows that a source must be given and if not then the info. must be
researched.

So please inform your dau. Joy that I am interested in the Braswell
research and would like to purchase a copy and if she/you will let me know
the price plus S&H I would appreciate it.
Martha
