Patricia: How's sunny Southern California? These Braswells belong to the
Brunswick Braswells. Sarah F. Braswell Howard is listed on page 57 of Ray
Sasser's book on Jesse Braswell. It says she moved to Arkansas and then to
Missouri.

Hummmm. I note that on the same page, there is a male ? b. 1800-1810 as son
of John b. 1765-1784 with wife Elizabeth. Maybe this is my Boardvine R.
Braswell b. 1799; except that Boardvine was supposed to have been born in NC
and my third-cousin's DNA so far does not match the other Braswell DNA. I
wonder if any of the VA Braswells are testing?

Page 56 of Sasser's book talks about a William L. Braswell, son of John
Braswell, who lived in Fayette County, TN, in 1847. I wonder what the "L."
stands for? Does anyone know? My Boardvine Braswell named 2 and possibly 3
sons with the middle name of "Lacy/Lacey".

heir.

Marion Stewart, whom I took as a boy from the House of Refuge, $100



Executor was George E. Breckenridge, friend and neighbor.



Listed Lots 20 & 21 in Caldonia, with a frame dwelling, a blacksmith shop
and an old stone building.

Also Lot 7, Spanish Grant 3274



Widow was Sarah F. Howard.

In 1897 a petition was drawn to appoint James shields as the new
administrator, and signing were C. W. Braswell, Mrs. C. Braswell, Mrs
Charles Pebbles and Mrs Sallie Howard, all resident heirs of this estate.



In 1895 at Summerville TN J. T. Braswell died and Sarah F. Howard was one of
the heirs. She was described as his paternal aunt, maiden name was Sarah F.
Braswell



Others named were dau Mrs Mary Braswell of Caldonia, mrs Fannie Peebles of
Caldonia and son W. H. Howard, of Portland Oregon.



In Brunswick Co VA Wm G Howard married Sarah F. Braswell 1852. They are
buried in Bellevue Cemetery, Caldonia, Washington Co Mo. Stones say Sarah F
Howard, 3 May 1820 - 11 July 1901, next to William G Howard 2 Jan 1818 - 29
Nov 1897.

Also buried there are Charles W Braswell, 19 July 1856 - ll Mar 1937 and
Mary W. Braswell (nee Howard) 2 July 1856 - 22 Mar 1917. Can anyone identify
these Braswells? I have more details if anyone is interested. I'd like to
identify these Braswells and also Howards. Patricia Weeks, Dana Point CA
