Tom,
Thank you very much for the information on the JOHN family. My Aunt Ida
CRISSMAN PENCIL and myself are really grateful for the information that
you sent. She is the daughter of David Erwin CRISSMAN, son of Levi
CRISSMAN and Ida JOHN. Aunt Ida has just turned 90, is "sharp as a
tack," and although her eyesight is poor, very interested in finding out
more about her family. I called her right after your e-mail came
through. She said to be sure to thank you for her, too.
David CRISSMAN was my step grandfather and the only grandfather I have
ever known---so this information was important to me, too. David's
family group information is at the Armstrong County Historical Society.
I left it there when my husband and I were there a year ago last spring.
Aunt Ida married my father's brother---so, I have that connection to her,
too.
Just wanted you to know who we are.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Linda Pencil Chaffee
Beavercreek, Ohio
