Peg, I don't know a whole lot about the Troxells. I believe they were
Reformed in the beginning when they lived in Lehigh/Northampton County, but
the ones who migrated to other areas I suspect became Brethren (or at least
some of them did). I suspect they were all descended from the same
Pennsylvania Troxell family--but I am certainly no expert on them. They are
only an allied family for me.
The surname Trostel/Trostle shows up quite frequently in the book "Brethren
Heritage along the Big Conewago," and it is just a guess on my part that this
may be another variation of Troxell. Those who know more about this family
can feel free to correct me on that if I am wrong about it.
