Hello Jay,
Which counties are you researching? Several Traxel and Derr families can be
found in early Lehigh County. I am a KNERR/KNARR family researcher, and I
have traced the descendants of David Knerr & Susanna Derr marriage. Susanna
lived 1799-1850, but I do not know her ancestry. If you find a linkage
between your Derr and this Susanna, let me know. If Lehigh County is of
interest, you can check out their homepage on GenWeb and specifically the
Surnames 1812 Project. You can find there the names of other DERR and
TROXELL researchers. Several Derrs also show up in 1772 tax list for Lehigh
County as do Traxels in the 1790 census records for Lehigh Co. These early
families, though, were not Brethren.
Best regards, John
