Hi Roland,

Thought I would pass on what I do know about "Elder" Michael
ETTER. He was born during May 1777 in Dauphin County Pa, and
died on 28 May 1847 aged 70 years and 25 days. He died in
Newton Township, Miami County Ohio. He is buried in the Sugar
Grove Cemetery, located in the above Township. This is the
cemetery beside the old Stillwater Meeting House (Brethren).

His wife Eve was nee REEP. She first married a Mr.KROB (GRUBB),
then Michael ETTER. Eve's children by her first marriage were
Jacob, Abraham, Samuel, and Andrew GRUBB. Eve died 31 Dec 1847
aged 72 years and is buried beside her 2nd husband Michael ETTER

I first obtained information Eve's first marriage from pages
655/656 of book "Genealogy Of The Brumbaugh Famlies," pub 1913, G.M.Brumbaugh.

The children between Michael and Eve were George 1801, Joseph
1802, Henry 1813, and Isaac 1823.

Now Roland, you add Mary who married Michael Fouts as one of his
children. I wonder if Michael ETTER 1777-1847 was twice married?
However there is a hugh gap (1802-1813) between the ages of Michael
and Eve's kids that I know of. Perhaps your Mary fit in this gap?

Michael ETTER's Will was drawn up 25 Sept 1845, and probated
on 17 June 1847. It is recorded in Miami County Will Book 2,
page 74. The only people mentioned in The Will were wife Eve,
son Joseph, son Henry, youngest son Isaac. and late son George's
three children Lydia Eve, Mary Elizabeth, and Fanny ETTER.

None of these people are one of my lines, but I am interested as
this Michael ETTER was an early Brethren here. My home is around
two/three miles from where he is buried.
