In a message dated 98-10-05 15:17:42 EDT, you write:

<< I think you and I have been down this road before and I have given
this a lot of thought. Can't remember if I mentioned the will of John Lehn
to
you before. He is listed as Jonathan Lehn in his will dated Apr. 15, 1775
which was probated May 26, 1783. Executor: Samuel Arnold. Paradise Township.
Wife: Margaret Lehn. Children: Peter, John, Catharine, Elizabeth, Hannah
and Mary.

Perhaps it would be helpful to you to obtain any estate papers to help
determine if this is your John listed among the children.

I would bet this is your John. I think we "spoke" before about the
connection
between the Bakers and the Arnolds and Lehns.

Have you contacted Emmert Bittinger about this? He is much more
knowledgeable
than I am on the Lehn family.

There is also a parallel between what you state about confusion with DAR
papers and Revolutionary service with a similar situation in the Arnold
line--Samuel Arnold is on the list of approved DAR ancestors--and I believe
he
is STILL on the list. He even has a Revolutionary War marker on his
grave--however Emmert Bittinger has established that this is NOT our Samuel
Arnold.

Joan,
I'm so glad we re-connected!!!--I lost some of my emails of early summer and
couldn't find the ones we exchanged about LEHN! (I could not for the life of
me remember who had sent me the info, so I didn't know what to do to get back
in touch! :(
I will do a "search" on the name Bittinger, just to see if one of the emails
is 'hiding' somewhere. But, I'm afraid they are all gone and I'll probably
need you to provide his address to me again, if you wouldn't mind.

Joan, were you also the one who said you had a cemetery listing of Lehns?
(Can't find that email either :(

Thanks for getting back in touch with me!
