I can't answer if this is the same one---
Mary (Mariah) Rummel who married Philip Snell is the daughter of George
Rummel, of Straban twp, Adams Co PA. He bought land there in 1778, coming
from Lancaster Co. If you have information on this family, I would like to
see it --well, there is a whole Rummel List, of the family, and there is no
information about the Snells. (I think I found them in the 1800 Census in
Franklin Co PA -where some of the rest of the family had moved.) Both
Sarah and Mariah are common family names.
I'm descended from an Mariah's older brother, Peter, who moved with most of
his brothers and sisters to the PA/OH state line, near Youngstown OH, about
1800. The family there is mostly Lutheran. It was 2 generations later
that my Ggrandfather married a Brethren wife, although he remained
Conservative Mennonite all his life! Their children were all Brethren.
