I believe he was a Brethren, but am not sure. He married Elizabeth
Beckelhymer (also written Picklesimer, etc.) Many of the Beckelhymers were
Brethren, including the immigrant ancestor, Elder Johan George Beckelhymer,
who was the second Elder in the Amwell, NJ COB. Elizabeth's father, John
Beckelhymer (who was a son of Elder Johan George) lived in Botetourt and
Montgomery Counties, prior to moving to Franklin County. If you go to my

see what I have on Melchor Waggoner. Also check out the deeds to Franklin,
County, VA that I posted. They include all of the Beckelhymer, as well as
Waggoner deeds in that county.
