One of my all time favorite quotes is: We are not human beings having
spiritual experiences, but spiritual beings having human experiences.

Think it's easy to assume just because someone's "religious" they're
sinless--we're not, never have been and neither have our ancestors.
They made mistakes.

My dear, sweet grandmother tore up genealogy that showed her mother and
father weren't married until after her three brothers were born. I don't
know the whole story, but it was in Scotland last half of last century,
my gr. grandfather was married at the time to my gr. gr. gr. grandmother.
He wasn't my gr. grandmother's grandfather, though--anyone lost yet?!?!
He was considerably younger than the triple great, and much older than
the great. Divorce wasn't possible, he was still young, gr. grandmother
was a pretty teenager, etc., etc. It reminds me of that poem about I'm
my grandfather's uncle or something--can't find it.

My whole point is that we need to know the correct info. even if it's
uncomfortable for us or others--otherwise genealogy is a lie when it
should be the most wonderful of truths--we're family and family is
forever forwards and backwards!!

So long as we love, we serve; so long as we are loved by others,
I would almost say that we are indispensable, and no man is useless
while he has a friend. -- Robert Louis Stevenson
