<< Sherron,
Do you know where your Benjamin Morris was from? I have a Benjamin
Morris in my family tree who was a Quaker from Washington County, PA. I
have a lot of the family tree if you are interested. I have even been to
the house that he built and my gggrandfather was born and raised it as it
is still standing. >>
Hi Maggie,
Benjamin and his brother Leonard, who's also mentioned on the Kanawha Trace
Bill, were from Greenbriar Co., Va. They were sons of William Morris and along
with their parents and other siblings, moved to Kanawha Co. Va/W.Va before
1775 ( can't remember the exact date right now ). William Morris was born in
England, and I think was in Pa. for awhile before moving to Va.--seems to me
he was in Philadelphia. He and his family were the first white settlers in
Kanawha Co. Does any of that seem to fit in at all with your Morris'?
